Overview and History of the Clinique Scholar Program:
Clinique cosmetics, a company originally created by dermatologists, offers scholarships for future nurses. Jane Lauder, Senior VP of Global Product Marketing for Clinique states, “The Nursing Scholarship Program. . . serves as a platform to address the shortage of nurses nationwide and to help raise awareness for the importance of this profession.” Lauder adds, “As the original dermatologist brand with a unique connection to women, scientific innovation and empowering women are two of Clinique’s intrinsic values.” The scholarship is offered yearly, since 2007.Who Qualifies for Clinique Nursing Scholarship:
Any student who is working towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) at an accredited nursing education program. (Accreditation by The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Additionally, to qualify an applicant must show documentation that confirms the following:- GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Financial need (Based on federal guidelines – refer to FAFSA Student Aid Report)
- Authorization to work legally in the U.S.
Value of Nursing Scholarship Award:
An award in the range of $5,000 - $6,000 is provided to one nursing student each year.How to Apply:
Qualified applicants must complete and submit the following:- Scholarship application form (available at the Clinique Scholar website)
- Official transcripts (high school and college, if applicable)
- Current resume
- letter of recommendation
- FAFSA Student Aid Report
