When is the best time to apply to medical school?
Answer: According to the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC), about 90 percent of prospective medical school students apply for admission around the end of their junior year in undergraduate school. However, some work for a few years after completing their undergraduate degree and go back to school later for a medical degree.
As with any career decision, you should apply when you personally feel absolutely ready to take on the challenges of medical school, including the work load and financial burden.
