Write an Effective CV: Résumé Tips for Healthcare Professionals

Wednesday July 9, 2008
Once you have identified a healthcare career opportunity that interests you, one of the first steps in applying for the position is to submit your CV, (curriculum vitae), or résumé. The term curriculum vitae comes from a Latin term meaning “course of one’s life.”

Your CV is a vital tool in any job search process, especially in the healthcare field. Your CV shapes the potential employer’s first opinion of your qualifications and candidacy, and determines if you are invited to interview for the position you’re seeking. Therefore, composing an effective CV is paramount in your medical job search process.

If you are not sure where to begin with creating your CV, or if you have completed your CV but are not seeing the desired results (i.e. interviews for the jobs you want), check out the new CV and résumé writing tips for healthcare professionals.
